interesting article - questioning authority

this post isn't much about music, but seems pretty important nonetheless.

i like this guy's website. he writes mainly about personal finance, and does a great job with it. i've learned quite a bit from him, and although i'm not in a position right now to test out a lot of what he writes about, i think most of what he has to say is great advice. one of his more interesting articles, 12 things i learned by 42 that i wish i knew at 22, puts some important things into perspective for me.

this one in particular isn't about finance though. he took some time to write this short article about questioning the status quo, and the following video is thought provoking. i believe it is a trailer for a documentary, but i'm not entirely sure.

this sort of thing is a very sensitive topic, and rightly so. questioning people, especially those you love and respect, is a hard thing to do. it is, however, very necessary.

it can also put you on one side of an argument or the other in the eyes of others, with or without you intending it to do so.

read on.

Thanks for linking to The Wisdom Journal. Yes, that article was controversial, but I think the real controversy comes from the hush tactics and outright scare tactics that are used to keep anyone from questioning anything.
